Grand Cru Masterclass: The Rivalry of Bordeaux
This Masterclass explores the mysterious and complex attributes of the Grand Crus. From the genius of craftsmen and their centuries of experiences to the rarity of the “terroir”, our trusted wine expert guides you through the intricacies of these exceptional wines by selecting 4 of the best Chateaux of Bordeaux.
The major reason for the success of winemaking in the Bordeaux region is the excellent environment for growing vines. While all red Bordeaux wines are made from the same grapes varities, two major styles co-exist, based on the side of the river which they are produce. We're taking you on a tour between "The right bank", situated on the right bank of Dordogne, near the famous city of Saint-Emilion; and "The left bank", situated on the left bank of Garonne, in the west and south of the region, around the city of Bordeaux itself.
